Originally intended for use only by lawyers, accountants, physicians and engineers from France, Canada, Germany, the UK and the United States, the dot PRO generic domain extension is now open for registration by authorized professionals from all over the world. There are still many dot PRO domain names available for registration. So, even if you already have an attractive dot COM or dot NET-based site, make sure you set up its dot PRO version to PROve your professionalism! It would be okay to just forward the .PRO version to your initial web site.
Restrictions on registering a .PRO domain name
As stated earlier, the dot PRO Top-Level Domain is available solely to licensed professionals. This suggests that registrants have to prove that they offer professional services and remain in good standing with the licensing authority. .PRO domain names can be registered for up to ten years, which allows you to ensure your ownership of the domain for a long period of time.
How to Register a .PRO Domain
With Unlimited Cpanel Web Host, you can easily register a dot PRO domain - simply complete our domain registration wizard. Specify which domain name you desire and we'll momentarily send your domain registration application to the registry operator of the .PRO top-level domain name. Then you will be sent comprehensive instructions on how to submit your Authentication and Verification info. You will have lots of time (44 days) to complete this step.
Once your .PRO domain has been registered, you will be able to use our point-and-click Domain Manager tool, which enables you to change your WHOIS information, to add custom DNS entries, and much more.
